Stephen Colbert Jokes HBO Will Have to Melt Half the Emmy Awards Won to Pay for Hacker Ransom

Cyber attacked HBO butt of Stephen Colbert's Jokes at the 69th Emmy Awards
At the 69th Emmy Awards held last night at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles, and broadcasted on CBS, host Stephen Colbert took several swipes at HBO, the awards-dominating cable network.
In a skit featuring Anthony Anderson, star of Black-ish, and Allison Janney, star of Mom, Colbert said "Premium cable has a ton great shows. I’m sure HBO will take home a lot of Emmys tonight — which they’ll have to melt down to pay for next year’s hacker ransom."
This brought up sore memories of the cyber hacking attack on HBO that we talked about here.
Richard Plepler, Chairman and CEO of HBO was forced to send a note to everyone at HBO about the incident, which we talked about here.
Plepler doesn't have a CISO for HBO or HBO Latin America, but whomsover is working on Information Security at HBO would definitely benefit from reaching out to us at ISSQUARED, so that at next year's Emmy Awards, they are not the easy target for potshots from the host of the prestigious Emmy Awards.
We would make sure they have the basics in place, viz. a Privileged Account Management system such as Thycotic's Secret Server, Multi-Factor Authentication by Duo Security, a PKI Server from Thales e-Security to help safeguard their e-commerce applications, and definitely a Security Operations Center that we would manage leveraging our Partner AlienVault.
Jokes aside, we do love HBO's Game of Thrones, just not the leaked version. LOL
