ISSQUARED®Customer Update - Global IT Outage Incident Impacting Microsoft / CrowdStrike Customers

On July 18th, starting around 10 PM PDT, a CrowdStrike update for Windows triggered a widespread global outage affecting Windows computers, including workstations and servers. This incident has had significant repercussions across critical sectors worldwide including hospitals, banking, airports and governments.

ISSQUARED® has been working very closely with our customers to restore Windows servers as well as workstations.

Several customers are in various stages of restoring their services to normal operating levels, but the remediation is on-going.

Mac and Linux based machines are not impacted.

Incident Details:

The CrowdStrike update caused Windows computers to encounter a blue screen error, initiating a forced reboot that led many servers and physical workstations into a boot loop scenario.

Efforts are ongoing to restore full functionality across all affected systems, with priority on completing server fixes and service validations. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
